Day 1 : Arrival in Delhi

Welcome on arrival at Delhi Airport and transfer to your hotel to recover from your long-haul flight.

Day 2 : Discover Delhi

You devote this day to visiting the monuments of this cosmopolitan capital: Red Fort, Jama Masjid in Old Delhi, as well as the tomb of Humayoun, India Gate, Lotus Temple, Qutub Minar in the more elevated districts of New Delhi.

Day 3 : Agra and the Taj Mahal

You leave for Agra, making a stop in Sikandra, tomb of Emperor Akbar located in a peaceful park. Arrived at your destination, you visit the Red Fort and the mausoleum of Itmad-ud-Daulah, then the Taj Mahal, a moving Mughal masterpiece dedicated to Emperor Shah Jahan's favorite wife.

Days 4 to 5: Safaris to Ranthambore

Departure for Ranthambore via Fatehpur Sikri, ephemeral Mughal capital. The Ranthambore reserve, the Maharaja's hunting ground of choice, is now home to many endangered species, such as the Bengal tiger. Take two jeep safaris, one at dawn and the other in the late afternoon, good times to observe the animals.

Departure for Jaipur, the 'pink city' with sandstone palaces. You visit City Palace, Hawa Mahal, the Jantar Mantar Observatory. You stroll through the bazaars of the old fortified city and ride up to Fort Amber on elephant back.

Day 8: Night in a palace in Deogarh

The medieval village of Deogarh offers a picturesque view. Deogarh Mahal (the palace where you are staying) is magnificent. It can be reached by jeep through the small steep village. Walk around the area.

Days 9 to 10: Udaipur the Romantic

You settle in Udaipur, a romantic city that will seduce you with the charm of its temples, palaces and havelis by the lake: Cristal Gallery, City Palace, Jagdish temple... You will discover the temples of Eklingji and Nagda, and enjoy a boat trip on Lake Pichola.

Day 11: Return to Delhi

You return to Delhi by plane or train, to take your flight back, or continue exploring Rajasthan. Possible extensions to Varanasi, Kerala, Goa or the Himalayas...
